Shari graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance. At first, she worked as a computer programmer in the NASA Johnson Space Center environment and then in the Houston area. But a long-time dream was to have her own business counseling individuals on health and life insurance to show them how they will be able to have the money in the future that they need.
Shari volunteers in the community founding the ministry Faithful Friends Animal-Assisted Therapy (www.faithfulfriendsaat.com) in 1993. Volunteers take their pets to local hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and rehab hospitals to visit with patients and residents. They also go to local schools and libraries to read with the students and give them confidence in their reading skills. In addition, Shari also volunteers with the League City Police Department through the volunteer program.
